Drishti 2017, Event Update of Mumbai’s Biggest Youth Management festival of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics

This year, Drishti joined hands together to support United Nations:17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development for the Social Week. We majorly focused on the 5 goals namely- Education, Good Health, Water and Sanitation, Gender Equality and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

The first day kicked off with the faculty inaugurating the social week, followed by the first celebrity gracing the occasion. The petition wall is that of a pledge to “Wipe out terrorism by maintaining world peace, to spread good health, to keep water clean, practice effective sanitation and act against gender equality.” The famous television and film actor Kushal Punjabi interacted with the students and expressed his views on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment.

The second day was dedicated to the cause of Good Health. It started with the appearance of celebrities like Shantanu Maheshwari and Mayuresh Wadkar. Zumba and Fitness workshop was conducted by Raj Baiker and Team. Everyone present there danced away with the stars and the dance team.

Day 3 kick started at the juhu Beach as the entire Drishti workforce conducted an awareness drive creating awareness amongst the crowd about water and sanitation. Around 120 sand hills were made all across the beach with Drishti Flags, bringing light to the idea of saving water. Actor Mahesh Thakur was the highlight of the day who not only interacted with the students but also shared his perspective on the theme of the day which was Water and Sanitation.

Day 4 took off on a salubrious note with celebrities like Parth Samthaan and Krissann Barretto bringing vivacity to the festival and making the day a mammoth success. The day was dedicated to the cause of Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. In the latter part of the day, the workforce gathered together for the FlashMob at Inorbit followed by CST spreading awareness about the theme of the day.

The last day of the week was dedicated to the cause of Quality Education. Celebrity Gaurav Chopra brought life to the event by grooving with the students and briefly expressed his views about the cause.
