If you have a Disney vacation planned around Easter you will have a fantastic Easter at Walt Disney World. From special character meet and greets, to egg hunts, and even a special parade Disney is the place to be on Easter! I have enjoyed several Easters at Disney and look forward to the day every year.

Special Easter Happenings at the Magic Kingdom
In my opinion, Magic Kingdon is the park to go to on Easter day. They have the most special events and characters out. Please be aware characters and events may change from year to year but these are what I have experienced the past couple years.
Easter Bunny Meet & Greet
Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny are available at Bunny Lane Garden (at the Town Square Courtyard between City Hall and Chamber of Commerce on the left side of Main Street when entering the park) to meet & greet with guests. They do not sign autographs, they offer a special signature card that would be nice for scrapbooks. A Photopass Photographer is available to take your pictures. The line for Mr. and Mrs. Bunny can get very long.
Magic Kingdom Special Characters
Not guaranteed but sometimes Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh comes out to greet guests at the flagpole character meeting area. There are also Flowers you can get pictures with at the hub grass. There are a couple flowers so the wait is not too bad. A Photopass Photographer is available to take your pictures.

Though not characters, lots of people get pictures with the Azalea Trail Maids while they wander around the park. They also participate in the Easter Processional.
Magic Kingdom’s Easter Processional
About 15 minutes before the Festival of Fantasy Parade on Easter Day you can see the Easter processional. You will see Mr. and Mrs. Bunny, Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Thumper, and more rare characters during this parade.
Special Sweet Treats at the Magic Kingdom
At Main Street Bakery, you’ll find a special vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream, topped with an “Easter bonnet” sugar cookie sandwich, filled with jam, coated in white chocolate.
Special Easter Happenings at Epcot
The main Easter event at Epcot is the Easter Egg Hunt. Easter Egg Hunt Maps can be purchased at Heritage Manor at the American Adventure Pavilion, Disney Traders, Pin Central, or Port of Entry for $5.99. Once you have your maps, you will be able to record hidden eggs, themed after Disney characters, by placing the right character sticker in the matching location on the special map. Return your map to Disney Traders in Epcot to pick up your surprise.
I have not been too impressed with the “surprise” so my tip is to snap a picture of the map and just have fun finding the eggs. If you have children maybe get them a fun little Dollar Tree item ahead of time hidden in your bag for them to “win” if they find all the eggs.
Looking for a special sweet treat at Epcot? You’ll find two specialty cupcakes. Fountain View has a chocolate cupcake with marshmallow filling, buttercream frosting bunny feet, and a tail. And at Sunshine Seasons, a chocolate chip cupcake is filled with chocolate-caramel mousse, topped with buttercream, crushed chocolate cookies, and jelly beans.

On Property Church Services
For those who wish to attend a religious service Easter morning at Walt Disney World Resort, two denominational services are held on Easter Sunday, in the Fantasia Ballroom of the Disney’s Contemporary Resort. A Catholic Mass is held at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The Protestant Service is held at 9:15 a.m.
Chocolate Easter Egg Displays
Both the Contemporary Resort and the Grand Floridian have beautiful, hand painted chocolate Easter Egg displays. These eggs are gorgeous! During Easter weekend, Guests are invited to vote for their favorite egg on display.

Easter Egg Hunts
Most Disney resorts, Moderate and above, will hold some sort of Candy Scramble Easter morning at 9:00 am. and other organized activities. Easter activities at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts and at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground will be more extensive. Character meets & greet with Disney characters in their Darlin’ and Dapper Easter outfits are held at ALL resorts.
You do not have to be a guest at the resorts to participate in the activities. With that being said, you can not park at the resorts on Easter. For deluxe resorts on the monorail, you can park at the Ticket and Transporation Center and get to the resort. I have not gone to these events as I prefer the fun at the Magic Kingdom.
Where to Eat on Easter at Walt Disney World
Some dining locations offer special meals for Easter. Prices for meals will be at peak prices, so a bit more expensive than normal if you are paying out of pocket. I recommend the following places to dine on Easter. Times and offerings are subject change without notice.
Make sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservations early as dining on holidays tend to fill up faster.
- 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Easter Brunch 12:45 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
- The Wave at Disney’ Contemporary Easter Brunch 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
- Cape May Cafe Easter Breakfast Buffet 7:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
- Cape May Cafe Easter Dinner Buffet 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m
- Trails End Dinner Buffet
- Boma’s Easter Sunday Brunch 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This is my favorite breakfast on Disney property. The Easter brunch includes a Mimosa!
- Hollywood & Vine Lunch and Dinner
- The Crystal Palace
- Liberty Tree Tavern
Does the Easter Bunny deliver Easter Baskets at Walt Disney World?
You can let your kids know that the Easter Bunny got word of their vacation and their Easter basket will be there Easter morning. Easter Baskets are offered for sale at each of the Disney-owned Walt Disney World resorts. Each resort will have some pre-made baskets containing a variety of merchandise items. The retail for the pre-made baskets varies based on the items included (typically between $45-$65). There are also cast members available to make customized baskets based on your requests.
As Easter draws closer, a variety of Easter Baskets and Gifts are also available for delivery to Disney-owned resort rooms through Disney Floral & Gifts. Mickey’s (or Minnie’s) Easter Surprise is available for $95.99.
