Only in Southern California can you wear shorts and flip flops to Thanksgiving Dinner…or should I say “Supper”? I get them confused…or maybe they are the same. Pretty sure there was a time that it was explained to me and there is a difference. Anyway, my family has their holiday meals toward the middle of the day.
And I digress…the point is that it was downright hot today. 90 degrees in the shade in Menifee (or Sun City depending on which person you ask). I think there are places out there where the snow is already falling and the temperatures have cooled quite a bit. Here we are still wearing sunscreen and getting pedicures! Some might call it a blessing to have such beautiful weather all the time and I would have to agree. Weather rarely keeps us from doing pretty much anything we want. Except for wearing holiday sweaters…there were none of those today.
I enjoyed my day with family and promised myself that I would not work. I even left my cell phone at home to prove the point. It was nice. I have lots of people that I love and lots of people that love me. I am so grateful for that.
Hopefully you had a lovely Thanksgiving Day as well and that your heart is full of gratitude this evening. Mine is overflowing.
From our home to yours…good night! April and Gary Greer
