Stunning Contemporary Mediterranean floating home with primitive accents, inspired by Italy and nearly 50 feet of water frontage. $3,750,000 call/text Molly Cartwright & Courtney Cooper for your private tour. 206-841-6800

Thoughtful details are all reminiscent of the water and surrounding environment. Extremely rare front row opportunity on the most southern dock with nearly 50 feet of water frontage. Entertainer’s paradise with large artful spaces, endless views, high end cook’s kitchen, dining spaces, & outdoor paradise.

Some of the artful details of this stunner…

The Front Entry – The exterior siding surrounding the entry walls is an art installation inspired by the lake water. It consists of hand-adzed cedar planks. Custom-made marine grade steel door (450 lbs!) in vibrant red. If unlocked it will not blow open in heavy winds! The door bell is wired for voice and camera. Once inside, there is a nice wall for art. The door to the coat closet includes a carved Nuristan panel and a lost wax cast door handle.

Living Room – Open room with giant window framing the grand iconic view that will leave any viewer “speechless”!! The dining area gives a front row seat to the view. Two Murano glass fixtures flank the arched entry to this room. Magically, the ceiling is curved! The carpenter was formerly a boat builder and loved curves. Watching the light dance across the ceiling is an exercise in peace and solitude. The colorful glass swivels are reminiscent of the city’s reflection at night when colorful bands wiggle. There is a Danish woodburning stove that includes a bake oven. A slab of Calacatta marble is the backdrop behind the woodstove. The stone is carved into a pattern reminiscent of wind on the lake waters. the  room is setup for Surround Sound with attractive speakers by Vienna Acoustics. Bifold doors lead to deck space that is great for a grill and friends.

Gourmet Cook’s kitchen has every detail accounted for….including the view.

Kitchen – The kitchen was designed by a gourmet cook who loves to entertain! This custom kitchen includes generous counter space and cupboards veneered with bigleaf Maple. The kitchen has a main work area and a smaller bar area. The cityscape and Space Needle are framed by a half moon tilting window facing south. There are two Bosch ovens, a Miele dishwasher, Best stove hood, Thermador electric stovetop, disposal, and a stainless steel double sink. A stainless steel pot rack hangs near to the stove. There are wood shelves and Rossli glass shelves. The counter tops are of Blue Bahia stone slabs. The bar area includes a countertop with a pull out cutting board, a small sink, an undercounter SubZero refrigerator, and glass and wood shelving for displaying glassware. There is a Marzocco Espresso machine. Also, in this part of the kitchen, there are two large pullout pantries, a SubZero 146 bottle wine cellar, a cupboard for cleaning supplies, two small and one large cupboard, and a hidden Miele stacked washer/dryer tucked back in the utility area. In addition, the kitchen has a sitting area that extends from the curved wall beneath the spiral staircase to the custom-made tri fold doors that open up to the patio, making for a beautiful indoor-outdoor space in the middle of the winter months.

Master Bedroom, upstairs – The master bedroom has custom cabinetry to each side of a king sized Murphy bed, which gives the flexibility to use of the space. The wood is washed with a denim blue hue. The faux walls and ceiling are in sunshine colors that complement the monochromatic hues of rainy season. The custom wrought iron curtain rod is an art installation, a collaborative piece by two Seattle artists. The curtains are made of JAB designer fabric from Italy- a white linen-cotton-silk sheer with a Matisse-like pattern and an opaque sky blue curtain also of natural materials. This room has a grand half-moon window that looks south to the city and the Space Needle- speechless!!! Centered in the grand arch is a Juliet balcony with a custom carved metal railing by renowned local artist Blair Robbins, inspired by lake waters.

Few people have the opportunity of ever seeing this view – a half-mile of open lake, the shipyard, the city, the Space Needle!! There is a deck on the west side of the master bedroom, which is perfect for watching the July 4th fireworks! Also, it is a nice private retreat. Exterior steps lead to the upper deck. The siding on the upper deck is an art installation of hand-adzed cedar planks that are reminiscent of the ever-changing surface textures of the lake waters.
