The Face Shop x Trolls Ink Draw Dual Eyes Magical Rose Review

So, my kiddos are currently obsessed with Disney’s Moana, which I adore because the music and animation is fantastic.  They are also toying with Trolls, a Dreamworks production, which I find utterly annoying because of the lame story and average music…but you know, kids. They like what they like.

That didn’t stop me from buying this Trolls collaboration product from The Face Shop. Korean brands currently collaborate with cartoons so often that it’s lost it’s “cuteness’ in a way. Plus, it rarely affects the actual product, it’s just there for the cute packaging…but I digress.

The Face Shop is a ‘drugstore’ level beauty brand that sells tons of skincare and make up items – like a lot of Korean ranges, they make almost everything beauty related.  On average, Have 50% success rate with their products.  The Draw Dual Eyes product already exists in the range but this is a special edition

I haven’t purchased Korean make up for a while – due to the poor exchange rate, things are no longer a bargain. So I am a lot more selective about what I buy. So why did I get this?

Because I love multi tasking products I can carry in my handbag.

This product contains a slim stick eyeshadow/;liner and a Glitter eyeshadow. It is up to you how you use it – the liner as a colour or liner etc.

I didn’t want to go for a boring shade, so I chose 05.  This is a rose/pink combination – I do love shimmery pink on the eyes.

The pencil side can be used as a liner or eyeshadow stick. It’s a good size – thick enough to smudge on to the lid as a colour and thin enough to use as a liner, especially under the eyes.

The glitter side is very very shimmery and glittery, just how I like it, and also pigmented. One coat gives a pretty colour. It dries quite fast and lasts all day.

The glitter side is a soft warm pinky-silvery-rose.  The eye crayon is a medium pearlescent rose.

My favourite way to use this is by using the eyeliner on the top of my lid, and under the eye. It’s very soft and doesn’t pull at the skin at all. I then do 2 dots of the glittery shade on my lid, and blend it with a soft brush and leave it to dry.

Once it’s dry, it is nicely set and lasts without any noticeable creasing.

The shade is not everyones cup of tea – it is a very warm pink.  But there are some nice neutral shades in the collection too.

I think this makes my eyes look more “yellow”:

I purchased mine from here – I went back and bought is in the 02 Dancing Mushroom combination too, since I like it so much! If you like glitter and quick, easy, long lasting make up, then this is for you.

Have you seen The Trolls? Do you like it?
