Cohen/Getty ImagesThe hills of Vermont will be alive with the sound of Todd Rundgren this August, as the singer/songwriter has announced plans to hold the latest edition of his summer fan camp in the Green Mountain State. The retreat, dubbed Todd Rundgren's TyRolean Getaway, will be held from August 22 to August 26 in the town of Stowe at the Trapp Family Lodge, the resort established and run by the family whose story inspired The Sound of Music.

The camp will feature musical performances each day, including a special concert on the last night by Rundgren and his band. Campers also will be encouraged to jam together. Not surprisingly, the retreat's theme is The Sound of Music, and organizers will enlist the campers to help sings songs and act out scenes from the musical.

Activities and amenities offered at the lodge include three swimming pools, a hot tub and sauna, tennis courts, hiking and nature trails, a micro brewery, a wine cellar, a rock-climbing wall and more. Meals will be European-style farm-to-table fare.

Meanwhile, Rundgren is kicking off 2016 by heading out on a late-winter leg of his "An Evening with Todd Rundgren" tour. The U.S. trek is plotted out from a concert this Wednesday in Beverly Hills, California, through a February 14 show in St. Petersburg, Florida. Todd will be playing a selection of fan favorites at each gig, and will be accompanied by a backing band that includes such longtime collaborators as bassist Kasim Sulton and drummer Prairie Prince.
