Beth and Bruce enjoying their time out on Lake Superior.

Munising, Michigan  –  July 12, 2019  –  Pictured Rocks Kayaking – “Skip the unnecessary work with the area’s only tour that shuttles you by boat, launching your kayak right where the park’s best scenery begins. Launch off-shore and paddle where it counts!”

Pictured Rocks Kayaking launches you right from the boat!

I live in Negaunee and we’ve seen Pictured Rocks dozens of times through other venues however Pictured Rocks Kayaking takes the cake without question! There’s nothing that compares to feeling the cool breeze in your hair, touching the ancient sandstone, and getting dripped on by water seeping through Pictured Rocks when you paddle into coves and sea caves along your guided tour!

My wife Beth and I had the privilege of joining a Pictured Rocks Kayaking tour with Joe, Abby, and their well trained crew of certified guides who provide fun facts along the way! I’ll start by saying that my wife was pregnant at the time of our tour, so naturally she was a little hesitant on the idea of taking on Gitche Gumee in a boat light enough for us to carry by hand! Her nerves were calmed instantly when she discovered that the 18 foot Tandem Sea Kayaks are very stable and Pictured Rocks Kayaking provides all of the safety gear needed for the trip. In addition their guides are also trained in safety and certified as guides! Furthermore, Pictured Rocks Kayaking shuttled us out to the most pristine parts of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and we launched from the boat with the wind at our backs so that my pregnant wife got to enjoy all of the very best scenery, without kayaking miles against the wind to see it!

See Lovers Leap, a popular stop when seeing Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

On our trip we met folks from all walks of life, young and old, both locals and tourists and you couldn’t wipe the smiles off of their faces if you tried! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their trip; we heard lots of folks already making plans to come back! As for Beth and I, a trip with Pictured Rocks Kayaking will now become a tradition that we do every summer and making it a point to bring friends and family next time we go!

There is simply no comparison to experiencing Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore up close and personal from a sea kayak and I HIGHLY recommend paddling pictured rocks with Pictured Rocks Kayaking!
