UPDATE: We are sad to announce that tonight’s debut of the Superior Cougars on GTO 97.7 & 99.9 will no longer be happening.

Due to the worsening weather, tonight’s double header against the Munising Mustangs as been cancelled.

Currently we expect our new “first” broadcast of Superior Cougar Sports to be the Girls Basketball game on Monday against Carney-Nadeau.

This evening both the Superior Central Cougars boys and girls basketball teams are on the road to face the Munising Mustangs. Sports broadcasting veteran Mike James will be live from Munising High School to bring you all of the boys and girls varsity basketball action!

Join Mike for a Pre-Game Show around 5:30pm on GTO 97.7 and AM1400. Mike will introduce both Cougars teams and talk about how their seasons have been so far before getting into what he expects to see during tonight’s games.

The girls basketball team will take the court to start the full game broadcast with a 6:00pm tip off. When the girls game wraps up, the Cougars Boys Basketball team will take their shot at defeating the Mustangs! Tomorrow the girls hit the court again to host North Central. The JV team will start things off at noon with the varsity girls to follow. Monday, February 18th the boys will be at home to host the Norway Knights at 7:30pm and the girls will be away at Carney-Nadeau.
