Courtesy of SummerfestMilwaukee's Summerfest has announced the list of headliners that will perform this year on the musical extravaganza's Grounds Stage. Among the veteran artists scheduled to appear at the fest, which runs from June 29 top July 10, are Styx, The Grass Roots, Kool and the Gang, The Ides of March, Blue Oyster Cult and Hollywood Vampires, the new supergroup featuring Alice Cooper, actor Johnny Depp and Aerosmith's Joe Perry.
Other acts on the 2016 Summerfest bill include Cheap Trick, Joe Jackson, 38 Special, Richard Marx, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Billy Idol, Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Indigo Girls and Crowded House frontman Neil Finn.
The new additions to the lineup join the previously announced artists who will perform at Milwaukee's Marcus Amphitheater, which include joint bills featuring Sting and Peter Gabriel, and Def Leppard with REO Speedwagon and Tesla. The Grounds Stage concerts are free with the price of admission to Summefest, while the Marcus Amphitheater shows require separate tickets.
