© Pink Floyd ArchivePink Floyd has given fans a preview of its massive upcoming audio/video Box Set The Early Years: 1965–1972 by premiering an official video for the band's 1969 song "Grantchester Meadows" that features rare footage of most of the band members performing the tune. The clip, which can be viewed on the group's YouTube channel, pairs footage from a 1970 U.S. television broadcast featuring Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Rick Wright playing the song with audio from a 1969 rendition of the tune that was taped for the BBC.

The performance footage shows Waters and Gilmour on vocals and acoustic guitars, while Wright adds some sparse piano. Interspersed throughout the video are newly filmed scenes of what appears to be the English countryside.

"Grantchester Meadows" was written by Waters and originally appeared on Pink Floyd's fourth album, 1969's Ummagumma. The studio version features only Waters, on vocals and guitar, along with a tape loop of bird noises.

As previously reported, The Early Years: 1965–1972 is a 27-disc box set featuring a treasure trove of rare and previously unreleased early Pink Floyd material, including 130 tracks and more than 15 hours of video footage.
