According to an Atlanta Journal Constitution article this morning, KC Pit BBQ  is officially Closed. While this is Bad News to many, the real kicker is the reason why. The owners of the Restaurant and several others have been indicted on drug and money laundering charges. The AJC says that the restaurant owner is now out on bond, but that the six other plaintiffs, including her husband are still in jail. So, there is no one to run the restaurant and thus no BBQ to be had from KC Pit. This is especially bad news for me, since I was actually planning on going there for the first time next week. Well, now there is room for a new BBQ joint in Sandy Springs, hopefully a nice clean restaurant will come along.
