Just a thought. . . Maybe we should ban Religion and Politics on MyDigitalLife?  We could write about our lives, in digital and in general, without referring to politics and religion.  This is a great platform for discussion, but by talking about politics and religion, we are bound to  alienate some part of the MyDL crowd.

Recent posts have shown that there is a great divide regarding especially religion.  The posts and comments did not bring out the best in all the groups and that diminishes the worth of a website like this.  We are adults that are capable of highly intelligent posts and we have all shown the commitment to keep on blogging here.

Let us respect one another's views and not thrash about in public.  Would it not be better if we contained our arguments to proven facts and not rely on ANY belief system?  Religion and politics both are extremely personal subjects.  In a public platform like this one, it is unwise to sort out differences.  That is to be done on a personal level and not in a public forum.  We all feel strongly about our views, so if we really need to discuss these important matters, let us do this privately.

I will be the first to apologize for any personal attack or attack on any system of belief or politics.   In my opinion, this website should be used to discuss issues that affect most of us.  Let us discuss other less personal issues and use our sharp wit and varied opinions on things that do not affect us that personally. 

In the end we will probably still believe what we believe, so let us help each other understand this world better, for the better.
