I have lived in Thanet for over thirty years, my wife was born here so between us we have many memories of Margate. In all those years I have never seen people taking pictures of the beautiful skies and sunsets like they do now. I believe it was JMW Turner who said the sunsets over Margate are the most beautiful in the world and the people often seen snapping away on the new Kings Steps must agree. The visitors to The Two Halves micro pub often post some wonderful shots from both inside and out the pub which is located at Number Two Marine Drive opposite the Kings Steps and overlooking the Harbour.
