There’s a new Sheriff in town – Mitzi G. Johanknecht was sworn in as the new leader of the King County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Johanknecht is a 33-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, with much time spent as Commander of Burien Precinct 4. KCSO has a storefront office in White Center at 9609 16th Ave SW.
She defeated Sheriff John Urquhart in the November election.
