The Des Moines Community WOWed! at the 2018 Bayside Brunch, raising over $34,000 onSunday, Nov. 4.

All the great Superheroes were represented at Sunday’s fundraiser at Anthony’s Homeport in Des Moines.
With the theme, Super Heroes, guests were dolled up as Ninja Turtles, Batwoman, Superwoman, Superman, Mae West, The Joker…they were all there and more in festive costumes to support this annual FUNdraiser for Des Moines low income youth and seniors.
In 2.5 hours the generous and caring crowd of 121 guests and volunteers raised over $20,000 for senior services programs and $14,125 for recreation scholarships for low income youth. Our “community defenders of justice” took home great silent, live and raffle items, as well as restaurant gift certificates. Our BAM they are amazing!! goes as always to the staff at Anthony’s Homeport, who volunteer their time for this event, and provide their executive chef brunch buffet and complimentary champagne.
Bayside Brunch would not be in its 18th year if not for the Super Hero volunteers who dream, plan and coordinate this popular event.
