Quiet Skies Coalition Protest scheduled for July 26 postponed due to heat

Burien’s Quiet Skies Coalition, which has been fighting the FAA – and most recently, Alaska Airlines – announced that a protest planned at Alaska’s SeaTac headquarters on July 26 has been postponed due to heat.

The predicted high for Thursday, July 26 is 85 degrees.

“Considering all this, we are postponing our protest until after Labor Day, which will allow us more time to focus on finalizing our strategy, printing signs, and inviting all the interested parties who have a ‘dog in this fight!'” organizers said in an email.

“We apologize for this change, but the added time will help us solidify our plans for maximum impact. Thanks for understanding!”
