New Delhi: If you looking for a credit card, then Bank of Baroda credit card could be an option for you. The bank is offering BoB Contactless Rupay Credit Card in which you will get 5 reward points per Rs 100 spent on grocery, departmental stores and movies. For other spends, you will earn 1 reward point on per Rs 100 spent. In addition to this, you will also get 1% fuel surcharge waiver on fuel  purchases. 

Apart from this, you will also get complimentary Personal Accidental Death insurance. Simply put, you will be able to claim medical costs, compensation in case of disability or death caused by accidents. The bank is offering this card at zero joining fee and annual fee can be waived if you spend more than Rs 25,000 in a year.

Applying for this card is rather easy. You can go to the bank's website and register for the same. As per the bank's website, you just need to fill some personal details to obtain this card. Once the registration process is complete, then card will be delivered to you at your home. 

Recently, Bank of Baroda posted a net profit of Rs 1,779 crore for the Jan-March quarter of 2021-22 as compared to net loss of Rs 1,047 crore during the same period last year. The profit was mainly due to lower provision for tax, which was Rs 120 crore as compared with Rs 3,726 crore during the same period last year.

“In the last quarter of last year, we had transitioned into the new tax regime, and as a result, effective tax rate came down from 33 per cent to 25 per cent. That was the reason why tax provisions were lower,” Sanjiv Chadha, MD & CEO, Bank of Baroda, said.

The bank also reported a net income growth of 21.2 per cent on the back of almost 9 per cent increase in advances. The retail loan of the bank reported a growth of 16.8 per cent.
