RIP KK: Here's what you need to know about his life before he became a singer

RIP KK: Bollywood popular singer KK passed away on Tuesday, due to cardiac arrest. Celebrities, as well as fans, went in total shock as they heard the news. The singer sang at his concert yesterday and was rushed to the hospital after he felt unwell later in the night. He was declared brought dead when taken to the hospital.

KK was not always the 'Voice of Love' of Bollywood, he made his way through the hurdles with determination, hard work and patience. Before that, he was a marketing executive in a hotel for about 8 months. In year 1994, he moved to Mumbai, he presented his demo tape to Louis Banks, Ranjot Barot and Lesle Lewis to get his music break. His first singing assignment was given to him by UTV; he sang a jingle for the Santogen Suiting advertisement.

He made his debut as a playback singer with the songs 'College Ke Saathi' and 'Hello Doctor' from the film Duniya Dilwalon Ki (Dubbed version). His first Bollywood song was 'Chhod Aaye Hum Woh Galiyan' from the film Maachis (1996). In 1999, he finally got his big break in Bollywood with the popular song 'Tadap Tadap' from the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

He also released his first album 'Pal' in 1999, which was arranged, composed and produced by Lesle Lewis. 

He has sung more than 500 songs in Hindi and more than 200 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati. 

According to media reports, KK was performing on the Nazrul stage in Kolkata. During the performance, he felt restless and was then taken to the nearby CMRI Hospital. During this, the doctors declared him dead. In the preliminary investigation, the cause of death is said to be a heart attack. At present, KK's body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
