Haryana CM urges Indian govt for release of Vishal Jude in Australia

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar spoke to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar for the immediate release of Haryanvi youth, Vishal Jude, lodged in Australia's jail and appealed for immediate intervention by the Indian government in the matter.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar spoke to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar for the immediate release of Haryanvi youth, Vishal Jude, lodged in a jail in Australia jail and appealed for immediate intervention by the Indian government in the matter. 

According to the information shared by the Haryana government, the External Affairs minister has conveyed India's concern to the Australian Embassy. The official statement said that there are a lot of demonstrations in support of Vishal in Australia. Supporters claim that some anti-national forces beat up Vishal Jude and later implicated him in a false case and sent him to jail.

The Haryana government has also said in its official statement that the Indian External Affairs Minister assured Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar that Vishal Jude will be released from the Australian jail very soon. 

"For the honor of the tricolor in Sydney, Australia, Haryana's youth Vishal Jude fought firmly against the anti-national forces and did not allow the tricolor to be insulted," the statement said.

Hailing from the Karnal district of Haryana, Vishal Jude, who went to

Australia

in search of livelihood, is imprisoned there. 

Vishal and several other youth from Haryana had got into a fight after opposing the Khalistanis there. It is said that Khalistan supporters were raising anti-Modi and anti-India slogans in Australia. In response, Vishal displayed his love for his country by hoisting the tricolor. This led to a fight with the Khalistanis.

Vishal belongs to the Rhode community of Haryana. The Rhodes are actually Marathas. Many Marathas were killed after the defeat of the Maratha army in the third battle of Panipat between Maratha general Sadashiv Rao Bhau and foreign invader Ahmed Shah Abdali in 1761. 

Some went back to Maharashtra but some settled in Haryana. There are many villages of these Maratha people in Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal districts of Haryana and also parts of Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar districts in Uttar Pradesh.
