Third phase voting for West Bengal Election 2021 today, Mamata Banerjee fighting to save her fort from BJP

The third phase will mainly take place in three districts of South Bengal. Voting will take place between 7 am and 6.30 pm. These include 16 seats in South 24 Parganas district, 7 seats in Howrah and 8 seats in Hooghly district.

Third Phase voting is being held for the West Bengal Election 2021 today. This voting will be held in 31 assembly seats in 3 districts of the state. 

The third phase will mainly take place in three districts of South Bengal. Voting will take place between 7 am and 6.30 pm. These include 16 seats in South 24 Parganas district, 7 seats in Howrah and 8 seats in Hooghly district.

The areas where voting is to be held in the third round is considered to be a stronghold of TMC, whose challenge to save is in front of Mamata Banerjee. At the same time, BJP's eyes are on in this area. In such a situation, it is to be seen that whose position is heavy in the third phase of Bengal elections. In this phase, 205 candidates are in the fray. BJP and TMC have fielded candidates in all 31 seats, while 13 candidates of CPI (M) and seven of Congress are in the fray. At the same time, a total of 10871 polling stations have been set up in 31 seats for voting in this phase.

Voting will be done on these 31 seats in the third phase

In the third phase Khanakul, Basanti, Kultali, Kalpi, Raidighi, Mandir Bazaar, Baruipur West, Jayanagar, Baruipur Purba, Canning West, Canning Purba, Dhanekhali, Diamond Harbor, Falta, Satgachia, Bishnupur, Uluberia North, Uluberia South, Jangipada, Bagnan, Assembly constituencies include Aamata, Udayanarayanpur, Jagatavallabhpur, Goghat, Haripal, Tarakeswar, Persurah, Arambagh, Magarhat Purba, Magarhat West and Shyampur.

The fate of the well-known candidates will be decided

Prominent candidates in this phase include Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee from Baruipur West of TMC, Soukat Molla from Canning East, Karbi Manna from Haripal, Dilip Yadav from Furfurasharif, Sujata Mandal Khan from Arambagh (SC), Swapan Dasgupta from Tarakeswar of BJP, Ulubediya Papia Adhikari from South, Tanushree Chakraborty from Shyampur and Deepak Haldar from Diamond Harbor and prominent candidates of United Front include former minister Kanti Ganguly from Raidighi, Subhash Naskar from Basanti etc.

Election voting is going on in 8 phases in Bengal

Significantly, West Bengal is going to vote in eight phases. Polling has been held for 60 seats in two phases on March 27 and April 1. In the first phase on March 27, the elections were held on 30 assembly seats in 5 districts, in which 79.79 percent voters exercised their franchise. 

After this, on April 1, in the second phase, 80.53 percent voting was held in 30 assembly seats in 4 districts. Polling will be held for 31 seats in the third phase, 44 seats in the fourth phase, 45 seats in the fifth phase, 43 seats in the sixth phase, 36 seats in the seventh phase and 35 seats in the eighth phase. Voting will now take place on April 6, April 10, April 17, April 22, April 26 and April 29, while the election results will come on May 2.
