Farmers' Protest: Haryana Police completely closes Delhi-Jaipur highway after protesters intensify agitation

In view of the increasing number of agitators and the possibility of farmers traveling to Delhi, the Haryana Police closed the second lane of Jaipur-Delhi Highway at 2 pm on Friday. The first lane had been closed earlier.

The farmers' movement has intensified on the Shahjahanpur-Kheda border in Alwar. 

In view of the increasing number of agitators and the possibility of farmers traveling to Delhi, the Haryana Police Closed the second lane of Jaipur-Delhi Highway at 2 pm on Friday. The first lane had been closed earlier.

The protesting farmers have blocked the highway at Shahjahanpur border since December 12. However, till now only the lane for traffic going from Jaipur to Delhi was closed. On Friday afternoon, the Haryana Police closed the highway on the Delhi-Jaipur lane as well with barricades. Vehicles were diverted towards Bawal.

There is a long queue of two to three kilometers on both sides of the road. However, 13 days ago, the farmers had put forward lane pauses going from Jaipur to Delhi, due to which it is closed but the way from Delhi to Jaipur was open. Now after this move of the Haryana Police, the police has diverted traffic from Behror and Pavta.

The shocking thing is that the demonstrating farmers have not closed this highway, instead the Haryana Police closed the highway by planting barricades.

So that the farmer cannot reach Delhi via Haryana, more than 1500 police and armed forces personnel are engaged from Shahjahanpur border to Haryana. So that farmers cannot go further from here.
