It has been known that for the past several years, there have been rumors of out-of-syllabus questions which often mislead students. To avoid all these things, the board has issued guidelines to all schools before the commencement of the examination this time.

New Delhi: To prevent students from falling prey to rumours, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a new guideline which says each and every question asked will be from syllabus only.  According to the board, the questions may be asked in different ways but would not exceed the boundary of the syllabus.  In addition to the exercises which are listed after every chapter, questions may also be asked from inside the chapter.

These questions will be from box formed inside the chapters. For the newly introduced guideline, the board has instructed all the schools to inform their students.  With just only few months to go for the board exams, CBSE is taking extra measures to educate and inform students about all its policies.  

It has been known that for the past several years, there have been rumors of out-of-syllabus questions which often mislead students.  To avoid all these things, the board has issued guidelines to all schools before the commencement of the examination this time.

As per the board, all the questions will remain from NCERT syllabus. No questions will be asked from other publications. It is noteworthy that this time there will be an option for every question. It is mandatory to answer every question and there will be a choice of every question.

According to the board, value-based questions have been kept in all the subjects of 10th and 12th. Value based questions will be asked in all subjects in Science, Arts and Commerce Faculty of XII. Value based questions will be of eight to 12 marks. At the same time, value-based questions of eight to ten marks will be asked in all subjects of class X as well.

Board's instructions: 

Apart from the questions given in the chapter, questions will also be asked from inside the chapter.

- Teach the box given in the chapter well to students because questions can also come from the box.

- Value based questions will also be asked from the chapters only. 

- The definite marks and words of each question, in which the answer has to be given, will also be determined. 

Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, said, "No question is out of syllabus in the board examination. Question papers are prepared very carefully. Questions can be asked from inside or outside the chapter. In this case, the student should do his complete preparation. All questions will be from NCERT.:
