New Delhi, News24 Bureau, May 22:

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who is gearing up for his film PM Narendra Modi, which is a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, landed himself in trouble by sharing a meme on ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In the first pic of the meme, Aishwarya can be seen with former boyfriend Salman Khan with the caption ''Opinion Poll'. In the second pic, she is seen with Vivek and caption of the pic read as, ''Exit Poll'' while in the third pic, Aishwarya is seen with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya with the caption ''Results''.

Vivek was badly criticised by social media users and by many Bollywood celebrities including Sonam Kapoor. Reacting to it Vivek asked, "Tell me what wrong have I done? If I have done something wrong I will apologise." "I have no problem in apologising, but tell me what wrong have I done? If I have done something wrong I will apologise, I don't think I have done anything wrong," the actor added. He went on to say that people are making a "huge issue out of it" further adding and said he just "laughed at the meme". He also said he was "appreciating the person for the creativity". "Those in the meme don't have a problem, but everyone else has," he claimed.

And now Bollywood actor and Aishwarya Rai's father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan has reacted to Vivek's tweet indirectly. A tweet of Big B in which he is talking about social media responsibility. Amitabh tweeted, ''T 3170-Correction: Think about Social media, a friend..Don't be socially reasonable!!''

Not just Sonam, but sportsperson Jwala Gutta also criticised the actor. The defiant actor, however, had some advice for Ms Kapoor who called the meme "disgusting and classless". "Stop overacting in your films and stop overreacting on social media. I've been working in women empowerment for 10 years now. I don't think this is hurting anyone's sentiments," Vivek told news agency ANI.

Later, the National Commisssion of Women sent him a notice.
