The Moana sequel is finally happening! Moana was the first Disney Princess to have a movie with a Pacific Islander as the protagonist, and Moana 2 will continue that trend by having Moana’s daughter as its protagonist. We can’t wait to see what she does in this film!

No official release date for Moana 2 has been said. There are high possibilities that the animated story will come around 2022.

The plot of Moana 2:
The Moana sequel will be about Moana’s daughter, who takes up the mantle of hero and sails out on a quest to prove herself. Moana is the princess of Aotearoa and the daughter of Chief Tui and Sina.

Moana finds herself on an adventure to save her family with some help from Maui, who she kidnapped for help after he stole everything she had, which later turned out just be leis that were secretly given away by him because of his identity crisis until Moana figured it out when they needed each other most.
Moanas parents are Chief Tui and Sina, who want to keep their daughter safe at all times, which can lead them to be overprotective of Moana sometimes.
Moanas mother died when she was young, but the legacy that they both left behind led Moanas life into becoming an adventurer with a sense for adventure just like her momma would have wanted it to!
