The Philippines is rank #72 on the list at the moment, which is an improvement from being 82nd last year. Filipinos associate happiness with many things. It could be Social relationships, traveling, having a house and car, a good career, and so on.

Personally, I find my happiness in fulfilling my purpose on this earth. I believe that is to share the love of God and spread positivity to as many people as I can using the skills and talents I have been given, and enjoying a life shared with my loved ones. Of course, I strive to build my career and secure my future. Yet these things won’t amount to the satisfaction I feel when I know I have pleased the Lord, helped someone in need or walked with them from darkness to light. To me, that is priceless.

I do admit I have a lot of negative thoughts that I have been struggling with, but I have to catch myself and intentionally remind myself of all the things I should be thankful for. Being happy is a day-to-day choice that we have to make.

On a side note, ice cream and watching animated films also make me happy.
