Carbon Vacuum?

Everywhere you go you hear about how to reduce your "carbon footprint." Between switching the car you drive to something all electric to just switching out your lightbulbs to LED there is a plethura of options for someone who wants to help reduce their impact on our environment. While prevention is an important step for protecting the environment for future generations new technology has been created to help reverse some damage done in the past. Climeworks, a company working hard to take the Carbon Dioxide directly from the air has created a large "vacuum" type machine that does just that.

How it works?

Through large wind tunnel opennings along a pannel, air is sucked through the openings where existing carbon Dioxide is trapped inside of a filter. The air then travels through the filter and out of a different exit location carbon dioxide free.
The carbon dioxide that was extracted from the air is released from the filter inside of tubes which are then sold to reuse and repurpose for things such as fire extinguishers, sparkeling water and wine or other food purposes.
While it's important for everyone to do their part in reducing the amount of greenhouse gasses being produced and to prevent even more damage from occuring we also need to focus on new technologies that focus on fixing the current climate of our environment!
