The Trump Effect

It’s been reported that in his recent remarks, the President of the United States included his misunderstanding of a report on Fox (or an erroneous Fox report) about terrorism in Sweden. Two days later, there were riots in a predominantly Muslim suburb of Stockholm. That’s the Trump effect.

Why did the President of the United States rely on Fox for his information? Why not take advantage of the billions the USA spends on professional intelligence and get the correct facts on Sweden?

Does he really believe the US intelligence community dislikes him so much that their information is deliberately misleading? Perhaps.

This with Fox brings up another interesting inconsistency in the President’s thought processes. While he’s labeled the “media” as liars and enemies of the people, he relies on Fox and Breitbart. Aren’t they media, too?
