48% – 49% of those eligible to vote, didn’t. Les than 50% of those that Voted, voted for Trump. That means a government chosen by less than 25% of Americans is now being formed. This is a minority government.
It’s inaccurate to say, as so many media talking heads do, that the “American people have spoken.” The accurate thing to say is, “25% of the American people have spoken.”
