Hand-to-Hand: A Great Art Exhibit in Dunwoody!

A recent exhibit just opened at the Spruill is a must see.  Cecilia Kane created the Hand-to-Hand exhibit.  The exhibit is made up of many gloves.  There is one glove for each day of the Iraq War.  She and over 100 artists decorate the gloves.  Each glove has something that happened on that day in Iraq.  Ragadless of what you think about the war itself, you can not help being moved by this collection.  It is a must see.  The info is below:

 SPRUILL ART GALLERY PRESENTS
Hand to Hand: 100 Artists’ Comment on the Iraq War
Curated by Cecilia Kane

Spruill Art Gallery presents, “Hand to Hand: 100 Artists’ Comments on the Iraq War,” an exhibition curated by artist Cecilia Kane on view from March 7 – April 26, 2008. The exhibition opens with a public reception on Thursday, March 6, from 6 until 9 p.m. Working with over 100 artists, artist and curator Cecilia Kane translated news reports from the war in Iraq into stunning and sobering artworks using white cotton gloves as the connective theme – one glove for each of the 1,825 days of the war. Spruill Art Gallery is located at 4681 Ashford Dunwoody Road at its intersection with Meadow Lane.
