I had an earlier post that argued that we need an airport in the great city of Sandy Springs. I propose that we call it the Sandy Springs International Airport. We could be an international airport since we have some corporate HQ’s of some big companies. They can fly their private jets directly from Sandy Springs to all over the world. But since the price of real estate is so high, this will unlikely happen. All the green space lovers would have a fit as well.

On that note, there are many licensed pilots in the area. According to the FAA pilot database, the number of active licensed aviators in zip codes 30328, 30350, and 30358 is 174. There are probably many more folks who don’t have a current medical or who are student pilots.
