Bey and Jay -Advice for fighting couples

Was she defending her older sister?

Did she have a Bipolar melt down?

Others are speculating why Beyonce didn’t step in sooner and still others wonder why Jay-Z stood there and took it. To be honest with you. It’s really know of our business.

While the world creates a variety of memes for Twitter and Instagram it would appear that the Knowles and Carter Family have moved on with there lives. Since the highly publicize altercation Jay and Bey have been seen on a romantic dinner date and even took there nephew Juelz who happens to be Solange’s son on a family outing.

As an Anger Management counselor I often come in contact with loving couples who are committed to fixing there relationship. By the time they make it to my office they have moved past the initial issue that caused a flare up. It could have been infidelity, domestic violence or financial issues. Nevertheless they have found a way to forgive. What they have not found is a way to get their family out of their business.

Be careful how much you share

You see most family members are like TMZ. Once they get a hold of information they can’t let it go. No one loves your mate like you do and that includes your family. Be careful how much you share with family because once you have forgiven your significant other for his or her transgressions your family may hold a grudge for years.

Get professional help

Instead of going home to mama or bending the ear of your favorite girlfriend find professional help or a support group. Not only will your information be held in confidence without judgement but support groups and professionals have the skill and experience to help. It feels good to garner the sympathy of family and friends but wouldn’t rather have the tools to heal the relationship?
