If you remember the story about my humiliating Application to the upscale grocery Store, you might appreciate these examples of the people they chose to hire instead of me.
I should have known my chances weren't good when the first person I spoke to told one of the girls to "get this customer an application," strong emphasis on customer, and in fact that is still what I am.
Yesterday I went there to buy my favorite cereal. Imagine my surprise when the check-out girl said, "enjoy your Cheerios," seeming not to care that her store brand had a similar name but were decidedly not the competing brand.
It reminded me of the time a couple of weeks ago I bought their store brand cookies and the check-out guy took the time to comment on what a stupid name for a product they were.
Now, I wonder, what makes these kids who have less than zero loyalty to the company brands somehow more "hirable" than I am??? I think that is bad business practice. What a world.
