Big Red Flag

Last week the headhunter called and said the client had a question for hubby, which was exactly when did he leave his last job. I don't know why he was telling them that to begin with, but to me that sounded like a Big Red Flag. She was too polite to use those words, but I've heard them enough so far to know what was going on. Especially since his prior job was as a financial officer, doesn't that raise a big red flag that he was so imprudent as to quit before lining up another position? Being that rash with our personal finances creates a red flag concerning his level of responsibility on the job.

Worse than that, I heard the first part of his phone interview with the actual employer, and he went on and on talking about how he quit his old job in hopes of going into a totally different line of work even though the job prospect was in his old industry! I felt like he was deliberately trying to tank the interview because he didn't really want that kind of job anymore no matter what the consequences. Because he has never been in any real danger of homelessness, he doesn't seem to realize that is where his decisions are taking us. That's a big red flag for me!
