Lianys “Lia” Gonzalez is a first time traveler currently on assignment at North Shore Medical Center in Miami, FL.  At first, she was skeptical about travel nursing, but after seeing how Trinity works with their nurses and the compensation, it became a “no brainer” decision for her to travel. However, she didn’t come to understand the benefits of travel nursing on her own, the person responsible for introducing Lia to Trinity was her fiancé.

Lia is engaged to one of our very own recruiters, Shannon Mau. The two met before he became a nurse recruiter and after joining Trinity he encouraged her to try travel nursing. Through Shannon, Lia was able to see the relationship Trinity establishes with each nurse and the supportive community of the Trinity team. Shannon and Lia plan to stay in Miami for the foreseeable future, but say that there is a chance they may go to other locations for seasonal trips. We wish them the best of luck!

Where are you currently on assignment? North Shore Medical Center, Miami, FL

What was your favorite Trinity assignment and why? This is my first travel assignment so I guess that make it my favorite by default.

What is the most memorable place you have traveled (for work or fun)? Barcelona, Spain. Absolutely beautiful city and fantastic food!

Do you have pets, family or friends you regularly travel with? Love to travel with my fiancé! What is your dream job or assignment? A NICU assignment in a tropical place, like my current assignment.

If you weren’t a travel nurse, what would you be doing instead? Working full time at a Children's Hospital.

What is your secret indulgence or favorite treat? Cheesecake, chocolate cake, Bundt cakes, I love all cakes I do not discriminate.

Reason or reasons you travel with Trinity? I have the most amazing, wonderful and handsome recruiter in the world!
