Resurfacing of US 101 Causing Traffic Snarls

Whether it’s budget constraints or inconveniencing residents, road repairs rarely come without their fair share of headaches. That is what is happening for a recent Caltrans project involving the Resurfacing of U.S. Highway 101. The project continued into rush hour on Tuesday morning which caused Traffic Snarls for commuters taking that route to work.

The project included repairing pot holes that had been created after recent storms in the region. One group that had been contracted by Caltrans worked past 6:00 a.m. Caltrans said in a statement, however, that the condition of the roadway was in a state of disrepair that would hot have ensured safety for the public. The crews had continued working into heavier Traffic hours to make certain that the roads were safe for motorists.

Recently, the repair and resurfacing project on U.S. Highway 101 has been brought to a halt and will continue once more in the spring.

Having roads that are safe is important. Proper maintenance, though sometimes inconvenient, keeps motorists and others safe and can also help prevent accidents even before they start.
