Iraq, Good Housekeeping and hoodies

I spent this morning wondering whether to email Good Housekeeping with a feature idea on successful women on the Internet. I was thinking of women who have carved out a career on ebay, affiliate marketing and e-book sellers. Must do it tomorrow. At the same time I was coming up with some lesson plans on sentences and punctuation for the primary school children I teach.

The sessions at the school were entertaining. When I asked a boy aged 10 what he would if he were Prime Minister for the day he announced gravely that he would a) ban all smoking, even in homes b) ban guns and c) ban hoodies as the people that wear them all go around murdering people. Thanks Daily Mail for that!

Continuing on the serious news front the Iraq war inquiry has started with some startling revelations from a former Foreign Office official on Channel 4 that lies were told. Something that a lot of people felt but nobody felt able to say at the time. I wonder what else will come out of it.

My partner has been given the green light to take on a part-time editorship: not a great deal of money but useful, regular work.
How will he fit in his blogs I wonder? I hope he doesn't sub-contract them to me!
