Retro Scooters look amazing!

With gas prices rising and traffic jams getting out of hand, many people are switching over from cars to high end scooters. The most common size is 250 cc in Japan, because over 250 cc another diving test is required. The latest designs are created with style and comfort in mind, laid back like a lawn chair these scooters shoot off faster than most sports cars. Many people like to soup up their scooters by adding fancy paint jobs, or huge mufflers or even a full stereo system. Parking is a breeze also just plant it on any sidewalk and off you go. Got to be careful in so areas though.The two bikes below are from Yamaha.I am thinking Judge Dredd





What is a scooter

Road motor scooter. A road motor scooter is a motorcycle with a step-through frame in which the rider sits without straddling any part of the engine. Most modern motor scooters have automatically shifting transmissions CVT and also have wheels smaller in diameter, between 8 and 14 inches (20-35 cm), than other motorcycles. The engine is usually found near the rear wheel or axle and is typically smaller than engines on other motorcycles. Most modern motor scooters come with two-stroke_cycle engines with automatic oil injection, however, cleaner burning four-stroke cycle engines are becoming popular and high powered electric road scooters are on the horizon now that small motorcycles like the Geely and the Verucci have been released and can be bought in the US.
