What Are Practice Points?

Practice points are points awarded for time you've spent practicing through the week. Remember, these times are total minutes practiced for the week.

1 point = 1-10 minutes
2 points = 11-20 minutes
5 points = 21-60 minutes
10 points = 61-180 minutes
20 points = 181-360 minutes
30 points = 361-720 minutes
40 points = 721-1480 minutes
50 points = 1481 minutes or more

Here is how this works. Let's say your practice times for the week look like this:
  • Tuesday = 10 minutes
  • Wednesday = 30 minutes
  • Thursday = 45 minutes
  • Friday = 25 minutes
  • Saturday = 30 minutes
  • Sunday = 35 minutes
  • Monday = 15 minutes

Your total minutes for the week is 190 minutes. You get 20 points for that week.

Now, if you're good (*wink, wink*) and you practice 30 minutes every day of the week, you get a total of 210 points, which is 20 points. If you're working hard toward a goal prize and you need 30 points to get there, you have to practice a minimum of 52 minutes a day to get those points.

The points should not be the focus of your practice time, but it sure helps if your practice minutes can count for something!
