According to Wikipedia, the 2nd generation Suzuki Swift obtained a 4-star rating when it came to NCAP crash tests. With awards such as Irish car of the year 2006 and celebrity endorsements, including that of Cristiano Ronaldo, it is no surprise that sales exceeded those forecast. It remains a firm favourite of many drivers because it is fuel efficient and therefore fairly economical to run.

Cost of running, MPG and carbon dioxide emissions

The major selling point of the Suzuki Swift is that it very economical to run, as the petrol engine returns around 56.5mpg in combined fuel economy when paired with the gearbox that is manual, and only emitting carbon dioxide at 116g/km.  So your road tax will only be next to nothing!  But of course, as is generally the case with automatics, if you chose this option, your economy will decrease to 50mpg. As expected, the diesel engine sports a superior blend of economy and performance, with deliverance of 72.4mpg. Another beauty of the Suzuki Swift is that there are minimal wind or road sounds when driving around town at low speeds and it remains pretty quiet even on the open roads.  At optimal speeds on the motorway, noises can begin to interfere.

Inside the Swift isn’t as impressive and it’s impressive exterior, but the dash is well laid out and the interior is rather dark.  Nevertheless, the Suzuki Swift boasts practical amounts of accessories and equipment.  Even given its smaller dimensions the driver and passenger space is optimal inside, with great room and leg space for four adults to easily fit in the Suzuki Swift, with even taller passengers being able to sit comfortably on any lengthier drives, even in the back!  The Suzuki Swift also features a decent amount of cup holders and cubbyholes around the interior to hold all you need.
