For very long-time companies spent huge fortunes putting their executives on airplanes and then sending them around the world to attend meetings. Some companies invested in corporate jets while others had their own in-house travel agents. Whatever the case, it was huge amounts of money that was spent, often with little or no return, all to ensure that their staff could attend face-to-face meetings. Many companies still operate with this philosophy, but the irony is, that in eth age of digital and the internet it simply isn’t necessary anymore. Use the big screen

And remember that when you are paying for flights you are also paying for subsistence and travel allowances, car rental and probably hotels as well. It all adds up very quickly.

Zoom

A wonderful platform that is great for hosting a meeting with multiple delegates who are all in different places. As a result, it is not so great when there are lots of meeting delegates at the same venue. Zoom technology is great and it works well even the internet connection is not ideal. Skype

This is the platform that has the most critical mass globally. Ask anyone who indulges regularly in on-line meetings and they will almost certainly have a Skype account. Skype was once the market leader in the digital conferencing space, but it has been passed in the last few years by better options. But that is not to say that it is bad. And because most people have Skype accounts it means it is a safe and easy place to schedule a meeting with almost anyone.
