Kenworth T600

The Kenworth T600 is an aerodynamic semi truck that improves upon the previous model, the W900. The truck is nicknamed the “Anteater” and sometimes called a “Vacuum Cleaner” because of the aerodynamic design of the sloped hood, a big departure from the boxy fronts of most models at that time. The inside is no different but the body redesign gives drivers a 22 percent fuel savings. Lower-weight and less horsepower engines yield a better payload. The Kenworth T600 was in production from 1984 to 2007. This model was replaced by the newer Kenworth T660 in 2008, but parts are still readily available for your T600.

What does aerodynamic mean?

If something is referred to as being aerodynamic, its shape reduced the drag as it moves through the air. An aerodynamic body style for a semi truck can be a huge selling point. Savings on fuel turns into more profits in the pocket of the driver. Have you seen those flaps on the back of semi-trucks driving down the highway? They sort of look like a little tent around the rear-end of the trailer. Those are called fairing and they also reduce drag, creating a more aerodynamic truck for better fuel economy.

Available Parts

As your truck ages, it is going to need some repairs. There’s no avoiding that. Anyone who drives any type of automobile knows that things do go wrong and collisions do happen. A collision might only damage a bumper or your entire hood, both of which are available. Other available parts for your T600 vary from headlights, turn signals, mirrors, grills to the fairing. Center fairing, rear fairing, and front fairing are all available at aftermarket pricing.

How and when do you get your parts?

The items are all stocked in a warehouse in Fontana, California. Delivery charges and estimated date of delivery is provided at the time of purchase. You may also call ahead and pick up your parts. No installation is performed and it is important to verify the fit before ordering because the parts are all aftermarket parts.

The Kenworth T600 has lost its nicknames as the world has moved toward fuel efficiency. Anything else “lost” or broken can be easily replaced with a simple phone call to place an order for Kenworth T600 parts.
