A 47-year-old Oxnard man may face charges of drug possession and elder abuse. Authorities raided an Oxnard home after developing evidence that it was being used to distribute narcotics.

Officers served the search warrant and discovered methamphetamine, heroin and other evidence of drug sales. They also found evidence that the man had been financially abusing an elder since February. Police arrested the man and booked him into the Ventura County Jail. They later released him without filing charges. Less than a week later, officers re-arrested the man and cited him. He will return to court on that citation on October 2.

The District Attorney’s Office could file additional charges against the man pending additional investigation.
