Heavy-Haul Trucks/Transporters: Large transporters are designed to move plant parts and engines that weight as much as 60 tons. They can handle oversize loads, too, and we often use them with escort vehicles to mitigate the risk of accidents. These are great for mining and construction industries.

Medium Trucks: These are used to carry rolls of material, metal products and other heavy equipment. Flatbeds, box trucks and platform trucks have a range of designs to meet your hauling needs.

Heavy Trucks: Dump trucks, tractor-trailers and enclosed trailer trucks can carry several tons and are frequently are used to transport cars and construction materials.

Loaders: Loaders are also called “front-end loaders,” “bucket loaders” or “scoop loaders” and are widely used for transporting equipment to another job site or for moving equipment from one vehicle to another. You’ll always see them when new roads are being built, and they’re also common in building construction.

Cranes of all kinds are used in industrial settings for lifting and transporting heavy items from one place to another. Cranes types include mobile, fixed, telescopic, tower, truck-mounted, loader cranes (hydras) and many others. Don’t get confused; these can all be grouped in two categories, mobile and fixed cranes.

Although both crane types can be used to lift and come equipped with wire ropes, hoist or chains and sheaves for lifting and lowering horizontally, mobile cranes and fixed cranes are very different. Let’s highlight some of these differences:

Mobile Cranes: Mobile cranes are easy to set up and dismantle. They are strong and able to lift just as much as tower cranes can. Nowadays, with advanced technology they can lift thousands of tons at incredible heights. Mobile crane types include truck-mounted, side-lift, rough terrain, aerial, railroad, floating, crawler and “pick and carry” cranes. Basically, a mobile crane consists of a wire rope drum, chains, a control panel and a truss mounted on a mobile platform.

Fixed Cranes: These immobile cranes combine lifting and height capacity and offer better stability than mobile cranes. They can also lift weights to great heights. The tower crane is the most common example of a fixed crane.
