Hilton Head Shopping and Dining on the Move

The Shopping opportunities are always on the move in Hilton Head Island. There is a wide variety of larger shopping options as well great boutique shopping opportunities on the island. While there have been several recent developments of shopping centers, there have also been some closures which begs the question, what will take their place? The recent redevelopment of the Shelter Cove Towne Centre has razed the mall and gave way to many new shopping and dining options. The anchor staple Belk that was part of the original mall is still in place with an entire building devoted to womenrsquo;s apparel and a second detached building for menrsquo;s apparel and home goods. Other stores include a Kroger Shopping Center, Woodyrsquo;s Sunglass Shop, Artware, Birdie James, Coastal Bliss and Talbot to name a few. Some of the dining options are New York City Pizza, Poseidon, Jane Bistro, Hickory Tavern and as well as others currently in operation and more on the way. nbsp;This updated shopping center has made this a popular destination and provides the Town of Hilton Head with waterfront park that is used for all kinds of festivals and community events. The old Pineland Station Shopping Center has been razed with exception to the anchor Stein Mart and will take on the new name of Sea Turtle Market. The older shopping center is looking forward to a fresh new look and becoming a north end island destination. Although the project has seen some delays the hope is that things will be back on track and construction will hit full stride soon. Villas for sale in Shelter Cove The recent exodus of Samrsquo;s Club to Bluffton which was across the street from Pineland Station leaves many wondering whatrsquo;s next for this location. The Port Royal Plaza Shopping Center is still home to Bi-Lo, Tradewinds and other small shops. Also, there are some great dining options like Fiesta Fresh, Okku, Reillyrsquo;s and Bella Italia. Will this be the next commercial site schedule for redevelopment? Many of the older shopping centers like Coligny Plaza, The Village of Wexford, Fresh Market and others remain popular destinations and have seen their own changes along the way. With more shopping options opening off island many wonder if they will have to rely on taking a trip across the bridge for their needs. As it often goes, it does not take long to fill a void so fear not my little consumers. nbsp; Oceanfront Homes for Salenbsp;nbsp;Oceanfront Villas for Salenbsp;nbsp;Golf Homes for Sale under $600,000nbsp;nbsp;Bluffton Homes for Sale under $500,000nbsp;
