UK is demonstrating its Support for Israel by deploying Royal Navy ships and RAF aircraft to conduct surveillance over the country.

Within the next 24 hours, RAF aircraft will start patrols, and two vessels will be dispatched to the eastern Mediterranean.

Next week, a task force of the Royal Navy, including the ships RFA Lyme Bay and RFA Argus, will be transferred to the eastern Mediterranean.

In addition, a company of Royal Marines, three Merlin helicopters, P8 planes, and surveillance equipment will be placed on standby as part of the military package in order to provide practical support to Israel and other partners in the region and offer assurance and deterrence.

Additionally, the prime minister has requested that every military agency in Israel, Cyprus, and the surrounding area receive additional support in order to help with emergency preparation and neighbouring nations’ attempts to mitigate the effects of Israel’s instability.

He added that they need to be unequivocal in ensuring that the types of terrifying scenes that happened this week will never be repeated.

Our diplomatic and military teams across the region will support international partners to re-establish security and make sure that the humanitarian aid reaches thousands of victims of this unfortunate, barbaric attack from the Hamas terrorists.

The military support is the latest offered by the UK in the wake of the attacks by Hamas on Saturday.

Nearly 1,417 Palestinians, which includes 447 kids, have lost their lives in retaliatory strikes taking place in Gaza, where fuel, water, and power have been cut off, while 1,300 Israelis have died in total.

Israel has declared that unless Hamas frees almost 100 hostages, it will continue to obstruct supplies.

According to the Foreign Office, aircraft have been scheduled to remove British nationals from Israel; the first jet carrying “vulnerable” individuals is scheduled to take off today.

The government, back in the home country, declared it would spend an additional £3 million to fund the boost of the number of security personnel at Jewish schools in response to news that several had been forced to close due to concerns for the safety of their students.

Over the past four days, the Community Security Trust (popular as CST), a Jewish nonprofit, has reported a 324% rise in antisemitic incidents. These incidents include six assaults, 14 explicit threats, three vandalism incidents, and 66 incidences of abusive behaviour.

Sunak will speak to leaders of northern Europe about the condition in Israel in Sweden at the Joint Expeditionary Force summit on Friday.

They will discuss the need to work with nations in the Middle East to support stability while extending support for Ukraine to deter Russian aggression.
