A Ukraine Intelligence Source has revealed that Ukraine struck a Russian Missile Carrier and a Patrol Ship in different attacks this week, which involved the use of sea-borne or naval drones that were carrying experimental weapons.

No information about the extent of damage was revealed. Still, it is quite clear that the Buyan Cruise Missile Carrier was attacked on the Sevastopol route on Friday, and the Pavel Derzhavin patrol ship was attacked on Wednesday in joint operations conducted by the Ukrainian Security Service and the country’s naval force.

The source informed Reuters that after the first detonation, Russian minesweepers and divers could not discover their know-how.

The situation between Russia and Ukraine has escalated since Russia backed out from the Black Sea Grain Deal Agreement, allowing the safe export of grains from Ukraine’s Black Sea Ports.

Russian drones and missiles targeted Ukrainian port infrastructure and grain silos at Ukraine’s Black Sea Ports and on the Danube River facilities since then.

Kyiv retaliated by launching numerous successful missile and naval drone attacks on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in and around the Crimean Peninsula, annexed by Russia in 2014.

Ukraine officials have argued that these attacks are meant to check Russian advances in the Black Sea region and prevent Moscow from gaining control over the region and its crucial shipping routes.

Ukraine’s Special Operation Forces said they blew up a railway line in Russian-occupied Melitopol city on Friday morning. The railway track and the train taking ammunition and fuel to the Russian army were damaged due to the explosion.

Ukraine started its counteroffensive in early June to recapture its territories taken by Russia and recently made significant gains on the southeastern front towards the Azov Sea.
