No water pressure at Bathroom Taps and toilet

Q:
Hi,
I have a gravity fed system and have recently installed a new Bathroom. Since doing this I have hardly any Pressure upstairs at all (both hot and cold feeds), even the toilet takes ages to fill and i have given up trying to have a bath!
Downstairs the pressure is fine. I cant locate any leaks and no pipe work was changed while installing the bathroom. I'm completely stumped!
Thanks in advance for your help :)
Rob

Hi Rob
Could be a few things. It could just be down to some Valves not fully open, check this first.
How ever I have been coming ac cross this quite a bit these days due to the tap type (also imported ball valves). Most of the modern taps have very small bores and are only suitable for high pressure systems. IE combi boilers, mains feed cold services etc.

You can check/test this by getting your plumber to connect the main into the cold water down service and seeing if this helps.

If so you could fit a pump to pump both the hot and cold supplies, this will solve the problem (if that is this) and you will get a much better experience with your water services . Great power showers.

hope this helps Graham
