The PwBDs appointed will be adjusted against the vacancy of respective categories, viz., UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS.
Eligibility: Applicants are required to obtain a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the overall aggregate of the qualifying Degree mentioned in the essential qualification table for each cadre/discipline. The degree must be obtained from a University/Institution that is recognized by the Government/UGC/AIU/AICTE.

The candidate must have successfully cleared the GATE Examination in any of the years 2021, 2022, or 2023, and possess a valid GATE score from 2021, 2022, or 2023 in the same field as their qualifying degree discipline.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2024)
The maximum age limit for the position of Graduate Engineer Trainee is 28 years as of January 1, 2024. Nevertheless, there are certain relaxations in age criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen categories.

The selection process to the post of Graduate Engineer Trainee will be a two-step process with the weightage assigned to each step is as under.

Candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview in a ratio of 1:5. This means that for every advertised vacancy, five candidates will be selected for the interview process. However, if there is only one vacancy available, then ten candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview. In the event that the number of applications received is lower than the prescribed ratio for conducting interviews, HCL will make a separate decision regarding whether to proceed with a Personal Interview involving a smaller number of candidates.
Application Fee: Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are obligated to pay a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs.500/- (Five Hundred Only). However, all other candidates, including PwBDs, are exempted from paying any fees. The applicant must make the payment using the Payment Gateway / NEFT On-line Transfer through HCL’s website, along with the applicable bank charges. No other method of payment will be accepted.
How to Apply: It is strongly recommended that the candidates submit their Online Recruitment Application well ahead of the closing date. Any manual or paper applications will not be considered.
