AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, invites Emerging leaders to hear a Conversation With Mark Mathes at 3:00 p.m. ET on February 28.

This is the first in a series of quarterly conversations with leaders, from inside and outside of the industry to give AICC Emerging Leaders new perspectives and ideas. 

Mathes, Executive Chairman of the Board at Vanguard Packaging, has a lifetime steeped in corrugated packaging, helping transform Vanguard Packaging from its roots in poly bag brokerage to a pioneering force in high-graphic, laminated packaging.

Joining in 1982, his leadership led Vanguard’s evolution, marked by expansions, innovative technology adoption, and a focus on sustainability. Under his helm, Vanguard grew to employ over 250 full-time and 500 part-time staff, generating over $200 million in annual billings. In 2020, he transitioned to Executive Chairman after selling majority interest to Dunes Point Capital, continuing to guide Vanguard’s legacy.
