Spotlight Knoxville – A Great Stop for Digital Nomads

So far, we’ve covered Denver, Sydney, and Dallas as great places for Digital Nomads to set up temporary or permanent shop.

The best part about being a digital nomad is the ability to work for yourself. The second best thing is being able to do it from wherever you want.

There are so many places out there that are worth your time. These are places you may know nothing about. You may not realize just how sweet they are.

One of those cities is Knoxville, Tennessee. What? Knoxville? How could this town possibly be worth my time? Keep reading to find out.

The Mountains

If you’ve never lived in a mountainous region, you’re missing out.

Many digital nomads go for the hot and humid areas of the world. They want naked beaches, void of people, and they want to take path no one else has. Sure, the cost of living in the third world is incredibly low. But some US cities are quite livable.

Knoxville is not only one of those cities but it’s surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the crisp, clean air. You’ll be awestruck by the sheer beauty of the leaves changing colors and equally captivated by the beauty of these mountains when they’re covered with snow.

Centrally Located

You can drive to many of the major cities in the area within just a few hours. This includes Atlanta, Asheville, Charlotte, Nashville, Birmingham, and Chatanooga. If you love NASCAR, Bristol is just a couple of hours away.

Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are great places to vacation. But they’re just half an hour away from Knoxville.

You can take in all of the attractions and explore true Southern Comfort Foods on a day trip.

Cost of Living

It’s not going to cost you an arm and a leg to live in this city. With a metro area of just under a million people, you should have no problems finding housing at a decent price. If you’re looking to buy, check out the website of this company. They’ve been helping people find great homes for years.

There is no state personal income tax in Tennessee and property taxes are substantially lower than the national average.

If you want to live on the cheap, you don’t need to become an ex-pat and head to Thailand.

Wrapping It Up

Tennesee as a whole is a great state to live.

If you love the mountains and you’re interested in low living costs, wfh office definitely recommends checking it out.

You can’t beat southern comfort foods. You can’t beat refreshing mountain air.

If you’ve never explored The South, it definitely needs to be added to your list of places to check out.
